Exatron has just joined the OPEN (Brazilian Association for Recycling Household Appliances and Electronics) to ensure that your products have an environmentally correct final destination after the end of their useful life. This means that our products should not be disposed of in household waste. Instead, we invite you to actively participate in reverse logistics by taking your items to the nearest collection point.

What is reverse logistics and why does it matter?
Reverse logistics is the system that collects post-consumer products so that they can be properly disposed of, reusing materials and preventing soil and water contamination. In Brazil, it is aligned with the guidelines of the National Solid Waste Policy, encouraging manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to jointly assume responsibility for the product lifecycle.
Benefits of reverse logistics:
- Reducing waste in landfills and dumps
- Reusing raw materials (metals, plastics, glass)
- Lower consumption of natural resources and energy.
- Reducing risks to health and the environment.
- Stimulating the circular economy and job creation in the recycling chain.
How it works in practice: the 3 steps to proper disposal.
Step 1 — You take the first step.
- Identify your item as an electronic device or a household appliance.
- Check out list of accepted categories and guidelines from ABREE
- Separate your end-of-life products to send them to the collection point.
Why is this important? Each product category receives specific treatment, which increases recycling efficiency and reduces environmental risks.
Step 2 — Take to the Collection Point
- There are collection points in various regions of the country.
- Upon delivery, the product is properly stored and monitored until it is sent to its correct destination.
- Find the point closer to the ABREE website
Tip: If possible, take more than one item at a time — this optimizes transportation and reduces the carbon footprint per discarded item.
Step 3 — Responsible Recycling
- ABREE, together with its member companies and approved partners, handles the sorting, dismantling, and recycling of recyclable materials.
- Materials are reused and potentially harmful substances receive safe treatment.
- The process ensures environmentally sound final disposal.
Which products can be disposed of at the collection points?
Generally, this includes categories such as electronics and household appliances, such as:
- Household items: small and large appliances, audio and video equipment, computers and telephones, among others.
- Accessories and peripherals
- Cables, chargers and electronic equipment in general.
To confirm if your product is included, always consult the list Updated from ABREE.
Before discarding: best practices that make a difference.
- Turn off and unplug the equipment from the power source.
- Clean the item to make it easier for operators to handle.
- If the product contains data (e.g., smart devices), restore factory settings and remove accounts/files.
- Group cables/accessories from the same item together whenever possible.
- Pack securely to prevent damage or leaks during transport.
- In the case of removable batteries, check the instructions at the collection point — they are often accepted along with the product.
